Kosta Papic has resigned from his post as the head coach for the club after a long meeting with the board members of the Rainbow team.
Papic missed the afternoon training session scheduled at 2:00-4:00 pm due to the crunch meeting while goalkeeper’s trainer Ben Owu took charge in his absence.
The Serbian spent just three months with the Accra based side after his appointment in December last year replacing Edward Nii Odoom.
The tactician during his short period with Hearts of Oak managed 10 league games as a head coach, which he won 4, drew 4 and lost 3.
Papic in the early hours of Monday was reported to be unhappy at the club due to interference by the management and as a result, tendered in a resignation letter.
Next for the 60-year-old is likely a move to FC leopards of South Africa or Tanzanian top-flight side Young Africans who are also reported to have shown interest.
Meanwhile, on the list to replace Papic is a former player and assistant manager, Yaw Preko who weeks ago won 2-0 against Hearts with Great Olympics while in charge as stopgap coach.
Hearts are positioned 11th on the league table with 17 points.
