Asante Kotoko SC have officially added another ‘new face’ to their playing body despite the Ghana FA transfer ban, 442gh.com has been reliably informed.
The Porcupine Warriors were slapped with a temporal transfer ban by the Ghana Football Association because of legal tussle with some of their past players.
With less than 20 fit players in their registered players for the 2021 GHPL, management of the club decided to recall their former stars starting with Martin Antwi.
The former WAFA SC workaholic midfielder was sacked by the club for non-performance but has since been recalled to commence training with the club.
He is expected to be enrolled into the 30-man squad when the second registration officially opens on February 16, 2021.
Sources close to 442gh.com confirmed that Martin Antwi is one of three players set to rejoin the club amid legal tussle with the Ghana FA’s Player Status Committee (PSC).
A hefty GH¢200,000 plus has been slapped on Asante Kotoko SC for contractual breaches with players including Martin Antwi.
Martin Antwi will be offered his salary arrears in the coming days as the club embarks on behind the scene settlement of their legal war with players and their managers.
