Former Hearts of Oak board member and current bankroller of Uncle T United, Isaac Tetteh, famously known as T.T Brothers says it’s too early to declare Phobians winners or losers of the ongoing Ghana premier league.
The Phobians are now on the 11th position on the league log with 17 points, 5 points behind league leaders Asante Kotoko and 4 points away from the top four after 13 games.
The last time the Phobians won the league trophy was in the 2008/2009 season of which Isaac Tetteh was a board member then. Hearts of Oak has since struggled to replicate the feat they chalked, going ten years without any major trophy.
However, according to Isaac Tetteh, it’s too early to write off Hearts of Oak from clinching the title after slipping a couple of points.
“The position of the club on the current league cannot be justifiable because the league has so many matches to be played,” he said in an interview with Kumasi-based Fox FM.
“Even if Hearts of Oak Gaffer Kosta Papic fails to win this year’s league title and able to be in the top 4 is achievable”.
“To be in the top 4 this year will enable him to win the league next season”.
Hearts of Oak best finish in the league since winning the league in 2008/09 is finishing 3rd in 2017 season.
