Underfire Hearts team Manager Boi Sabahn Quaye has accused club’s Board Chairman Togbe Afede as the real cause of the departure of Former club coach Kostadine Papic.
An outraged Quaye told 442gh he won’t mince words in mentioning all those who influenced the work of the coach leading to his departure from the club in just 78 days in office.
“Please add to the story that, I also mentioned the name of Togbe as one of the people influencing the coach’s work, I didn’t only mention Vincent Sowa Odotei, and Alhaji Akambi alone, I also told the board that the coach informed me that the pressure from board chairman was too much” he said in an interview.
Mr Sabahn Quaye added that, the coach told him that the 3 board members asked him to play 4 specific players in hos matches, against his wish, and that he would resign if it continues.
Papic told me that they wanted him to play some 4 players, whom he [Papic] didn’t think they were good enough for his tactics, but they kept putting pressure on him, they said if a division one player was scoring for Asante Kotoko, why can’t same division one player play for Hearts of Oak” he added.
Sabahn Quaye, who our earlier report said has been sacked by the club maintains he hasn’t received any letter sacking him, and until he recieves any letter asking him to step aside, he would continue his job as team manager of the club.
‘Where is the letter sacking me, I have not received any letter, am waiting dor them, I made some mistakes in my earlier resignation from the club, and do not want to repeat that again, id they think I deserve to be sacked, so be it, he said.
