President Akufo-Addo has directed Charles Adu Boahen, the Deputy minister for Finance, to act as his representative at Ministry of Finance. This is because Ken Ofori-Atta, the president’s representative is away in the United States for two weeks after developing post-COVID-19 medical complications.

Charles Adu Boahen is a Ghanaian politician and public servant. He is a member of the New Patriotic Party and the deputy minister for Finance in Ghana. He is the son of Albert Adu Boahen, the New Patriotic Party flagbearer in the 1992 Ghanaian general elections.
He had his BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California. He also had his MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is an old student of Achimota School.
He was the Director and Regional Head of Corporate and Investment Banking for SBSA. He was the CEO of Black Star Advisors, Primrose Properties Ghana, an investment bank and asset management firm, a boutique and a real estate development company.
