Midfielder Emmanuel Nettey is close to renewing his contract with Hearts of Oak by two more years.
Reports from Kumasi based Oyerepa Fm indicates that the player has agreed to extend his stay at the Ghana Premier League powerhouse.
The midfielder joined the Phobian family on a three-year deal in 2020 and has two years remaining in his contract.
Hearts, however, want to add two more years making it four years which will run out in 2024.
Nettey will be the second player to renew his deal with the club together with Benjamin Afutu who is also set to pen a new three-year deal.
Nettey is currently in a recovery process after injuring his knee against his former side Inter Allies last November.
Despite returning to training the former Inter Allies man could not make the trip to Berekum.
Hearts of Oak travels to Berekum to face Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Saturday.
