Arsenal suffered a blow in the second half of their clash against Aston Villa, with Thomas Partey having to be taken off due to injury.
Partey had to be substituted in the 74th minute, with Willian replacing him.
The midfielder has endured a stop-start season since he joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid.
Earlier in the campaign Partey missed ten games with a hip problem, and he will hope that he doesn’t face another lengthy absence.
The midfielder has been under pressure following his 50 million euros move from Atletico Madrid this summer.
Partey had started to establish himself in the Arsenal side, forming a partnership with Granit Xhaka at the base of the midfield.
Partey recently returned from injury for the Gunners after picking up an injury last year against Tottenham Hotspurs, spending 36 days on the treatment table.
Arsenal are yet to reveal the full extent of the fresh injury.
Partey has registered one assist in 11 Premier League games.
